Successful defamation claim after 3 day Trial (April 2019)
Ben acted for a South Wales businessman in obtaining damages for libel following a 3 day Trial in the High Court. Essentially, it involved what the Judge described as a “disgruntled former employee having a go”. The Judge found that the defendant had failed to establish the truth of any of the defamatory passages about the businessman in his review, or that they were statements of honest opinion.
