Getting the benefits you’re entitled to

If you rely on welfare benefits, you know exactly how difficult things can become when the government makes a mistake – and it is you that has to bear the weight of this struggle. We have an experienced team who can help you with a range of matters relating to welfare benefits, including:

The changes to the scope of Legal Aid mean that in the majority of cases we will no longer be able to provide you with advice and assistance in relation to welfare benefit entitlement, benefit applications, benefit overpayments and appeals. Preparation of Written Submissions to the DWP & Tribunal

This will include:

  • An initial consultation of up to 45 minutes when we will take your full instructions.
  • An advice letter
  • A client care letter
  • Consideration of your appeal papers; and
  • Drafting a written submission on your behalf which will be forwarded to the Tribunal service prior to your appeal hearing.

Representation at Tribunal

This will include:

  • A representative who will travel to and attend the hearing with you; and
  • Provision of advice regarding the outcome of your case and the options available to you.

Tax Credit Overpayments

This will include:

  • An initial consultation of up to 30 minutes;
  • An advice letter;
  • A client care letter;
  • A letter to the other side outlining your case; and
  • Forwarding to you their response.
