I work as a Clinical Negligence Senior Associate Solicitor at Harding Evans. My typical day will involve progressing my cases, updating clients, liaising with Barristers, attending conferences or court hearings and preparing cases for trial. I also supervise other members of the team and assist in their role development and carer progression.
Whilst helping my client’s is the most satisfying element of my role, I also really enjoy teaching and training other team members.
In work I am inspired by incentives to climb the internal ladder and have aspirations to advance my knowledge and skillset within clinical law.
I aim to contribute towards our firm’s reputation management which we achieve by marketing and being visible on social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn; in addition to our firm’s website. This allows previous clients to review us publicly and stay in contact – and allows new clients to see the types of services we offer – helping to create future business opportunities.
Emma Watson.
I find her to be a very grounded role model for young women. Following her childhood fame in the Harry Potter films, Watson split her time between working on film projects and continuing her education, graduating from Brown University with a bachelor’s degree in English literature in May 2014. I really admire the fact that education was so important to her.
She was honoured by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in 2014, winning for British Artist of the Year. That same year, she was appointed as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador and helped launch the UN Women campaign “HeForShe”, which calls for men to advocate gender equality.
Plan your path, develop your skillset, continue learning and always utilise all business, marketing, and networking opportunities presented to you.
